The National Basketball Association (NBA) launched a new Jr. NBA at Home interactive content offering on the OWQLO App to provide young players with ways to continue staying fit and enjoying the game they love at home, writes Mai Al Khatib-Camille.

The 30-day workout series found on OWQLO, which is the official Jr. NBA League app in Europe and the Middle East, provides basketball workouts and drills that can be completed individually and in limited spaces. Its aim is to help youngsters around the world stay active and develop their game in a safe and healthy way.

The daily workouts – all with direct basketball application – are led by fitness and performance coaches Natalie Higby and Cristian Plascencia of The Durable Athlete, who have more than a decade of combined experience in the fitness industry working with both amateur and professional athletes.

The programme will promote skill development and physical activity by incorporating elements such as warm up and joint mobility, a Drill of the Day activation, a Workout of the Day along with cool down and decompression breathing techniques.

The Jr. NBA OWQLO App also includes short vignettes of Jr. NBA at Home drills featuring NBA and WNBA players as well as of Jr. NBA Coaches and former players, that can be completed both indoors or outdoors.

This new series is part of the global NBA Together campaign.
