Thousands of students have benefited from a series of educational programmes launched online by INJAZ Bahrain with the aim of preparing young people for the future.
The non-profit organisation unveiled 11 programmes for primary, intermediate, secondary and university levels after the Ministry of Education decided to shut down all educational institutes across the kingdom and activate learning from home as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
More than 4,000 school and university students have completed the programmes since its launch.
Hana Sarwani, INJAZ Bahrain’s executive director, said: “Online learning has become crucial during these uncertain times and launching our programmes online is the least that could be done to bolster the nation’s efforts in combatting the novel coronavirus.
“This initiative has been taken to ensure learning continues and we keep students engaged by offering them enriched programmes. The programmes aim to educate students on work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship while at home.”
INJAZ Bahrain’s programmess also encourage confidence and motivate young people to achieve their personal, educational and career goals, the organisation says.
The programmes that are being offered include titles such as Our Families, Ourselves, Our Nation, Smart Investor, Entrepreneurial Mind-set, Personal Finance, It’s My Future and Head-start and KPMG Lifetime Skills.
These programmes are designed to help students experience the opportunities and realities of the business world, while tapping into their unlocked potentials, the project designers added.

As well as the online educational courses, INJAZ Bahrain recently hosted the fifth edition of its annual programme called INJAZ Talk. It was initiated remotely through a series of live broadcasts on INJAZ Bahrain’s Instagram page and held in collaboration with influential Bahraini figures.
Currently, the supportive organisation is working on summer programmess that will be offered to all students soon and is also intensely preparing for the first virtual 2020 National Company Competition. It will be held during the first week of July to celebrate the achievements of young entrepreneurs.
INJAZ Bahrain’s volunteers are supported by 19 community leaders who serve on the board of directors and these professionals provide the organisation with guidance and support. In addition, the organisation works with numerous local collaborations and affiliations.
