THE recently launched Mazda BT-50 pick-up boasts a new design for the first time in nine years.
Designers say the new look has been created with the intention of making travel and the time spent inside the vehicle a much more ‘pleasant’ experience. It aims to express the marque’s ‘Kodo’, which means heartbeat in Japanese.
The new two-tone wheel design creates a tough and refined look. The pickup features a 3L diesel engine that packs a 140kW power and a hefty 450Nm torque from 1,600rpm to 2,600rpm.
The truck can carry more than a 1,000kg payload and has a 3,500kg towing capacity.
As for the interior, a touch screen leads down into a centre console and the dash area and door trims are finished using quality materials. There is an eight-speaker stereo, digital gauges, automatic headlights, parking sensors and dual-zone climate control, among other features.
The all-new Mazda BT-50 is set to go on sale later this year.
