The latest update to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has rolled into Bahrain and was unveiled last week at The Avenues - Bahrain.
The all-new 2021 Mercedes E-Class sedan has been rethought and features a dynamic design with sleeker all-LED front and tail lights, reminiscent of the marquee’s wildly successful A-Class sedan.
Imran Ali, marketing manager of Al Haddad Motors, the sole Mercedes-Benz distributor in Bahrain, said: “The E-Class is perceived by many as the ‘heart of the brand.’
“We invite customers to experience its clean yet emotionally appealing design, exclusive, high-quality interior and wealth of innovations in driving assistance systems for themselves.”
The E200 packs in a 612hp (450kW) engine, which goes from 0-100km/h in 3.4seconds and is available with an AMG package.
The entry-level model, starting at BD29,000, is loaded with the Avantgarde Line exterior, with a bold Mercedes-Benz star at the front, with a sporty chrome radiator grille.
The E-Class which is the best-selling model series in the German marquee’s history, replaces the older COMAND interface with the award-winning MBUX infotainment system, featuring two large 12.3 inch screens and a robust voice-recognition system.
For the first time, the E200 is able to recognise and use marked areas as parking spaces, with its 360-degree camera and PARKTRONIC Active Parking Assist software.
The 2021 E-Class is arguably the smartest addition to the trend-setting marquee, with Active Brake Assist, which is able to use autonomous braking to prevent a collision, and brake for stationary vehicles and pedestrians.
