The Women of India Series Bahrain (WISB) is calling on all bakers to join a sweet initiative aimed at supporting a charity in the kingdom.
The Bake Sale, which falls under the group’s Christmas celebration, has already attracted 17 bakers who are whisking up festive mini-cupcakes to be sold to raise money for the Friendship Society for the Blind in Bahrain.
Sumithra Praveen, one of the founders of WISB which was formed to promote women empowerment in the kingdom, said: “We wanted to do something different for our Christmas celebrations and we thought a bake sale would echo the spirit of sharing and caring.
“All these bakers are making festive-themed desserts from the heart.”
The date and venue of the bake sale has yet to be confirmed. Today is the last day to join the bake sale.
