English singer Jessie J is making her comeback with her first album in eight years.

Titled Don’t Tease Me with a Good Time, the record – crafted over five years – drops tomorrow, November 28.

The 37-year-old described her sixth studio album to be a layered collection that spans ‘grief to joy’ and ‘life after loss’.

“This music is so layered and stretched over so many emotional and celebratory years of my life. Crossing many genres and feelings. The songs are a journey of grief to joy. Finding the light, and life after loss. A journey so many of us go through,” she said in a statement.

“I hope these songs can hold the hand of anyone in need of a soundtrack to a good or bad time,” she added.

The new tracks reflect Jessie J’s battle with early-stage breast cancer, a diagnosis she revealed earlier this year. She has openly shared her recovery journey on social media and in interviews.

She spoke candidly about feeling robbed of precious moments with her two-year-old son.

“I feel like cancer has robbed me of memories with my boy, and anyone with a toddler knows that they change so much in that space of time. You blink and he’s chatting,” she said.

Jessie also recalled performing her last show at London’s Summertime Ball in June before undergoing surgery, describing how the crowd’s energy carried her through.

“When I was put to sleep, it was that moment that I replayed in my head,” she said. “It was an unimaginable amount of love I received in that 25 minutes onstage, it was overwhelming,” she added.

Known for her bold, genre-blending style – mixing soulful vocals with contemporary R&B, electropop, and hip-hop – Jessica Ellen Cornish rose to global fame with her 2011 hit Price Tag from her debut album Who You Are.
