As most mothers, I cannot do most of the activities that I would like because my one-year-old baby has to tag along. What do I call this attitude where persistence and insistence still doesn’t reap results? It is not laziness, it is lack of cooperation. My naivety is that I expected any at all!

Chief reporter Mai Al Khatib-Camille was close to tears last Sunday when she had lost her engagement ring after spending her national Bahrain holiday working in the office. The tiny writer had returned home only to realise that it had slipped off her finger. After retracing her steps around the house, she came to the conclusion that it either fell off in the office bathroom or where she was parked earlier that day.
The Bahrain International Circuit was lit up beautifully for National Day weekend and featured so many activities for the children. I loved that all the games and rides were free and the firework show was spectacular and got the kids excited.
