WHEELS OF ARABIA (WOA) is riding high after the acquisition of the Bahrain-based Harley-Davidson dealership.
The inclusion of the marque under the umbrella of Khalid Almoayed and Sons cements its position as a ‘premier dealer of two-wheeler brands in the region’, the company says.
“Owning and operating a Harley-Davidson dealership is a unique business opportunity, which we are pleased to take up,” said Abdulrahman Almoayed, director Wheels Of Arabia.
“Our existing expertise in two-wheelers definitely gives us the edge in handling this brand. We’re very excited to have Harley-Davidson on board with us and we look forward to developing its presence in the region.’’
WOA, he says, was founded based on a vision of ‘providing customers with the experience of a lifetime on two wheels’. Its products range from motorcycles, scooters, accessories, parts, safety gear, merchandise and service offerings, aimed at providing customers with a one-stop-shop.
WOA currently represents some of the leading global brands including Ducati, Aprilia, Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, MV Agusta and Gilera, among others, and operates in Bahrain and the UAE.
Harley-Davidson, the famous American motorcycle manufacturer, also called simply Harley by fans, was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903. The company has survived periods of poor economic health, as well as intense global competition, to become one of the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturers and an iconic brand widely known for its loyal following.
There are owner clubs and events worldwide as well as a company-sponsored brand-focused museum.
