Visitors to a popular Bahrain mall found out how to have fun and stay fit at the same time as receiving free gifts and enjoying games as part of a health initiative.

DreamBody Centre (DBC), in collaboration with The Bahrain Mall, staged the event to commemorate the World Health Organisation’s Move for Health Day.

Various activities staged included a walkathon around the mall, classes and free on-the-spot weight loss assessments for adults. Added attractions over the three hours were children’s games, a prize draw and distribution of free DBC T-shirts, with healthy refreshments such as water and green apples provided by the mall.

DBC’s founder, Suhail Algosaibi, said, “The primary objective was to create more awareness and enthusiasm about health and healthy initiatives for each and every individual living in Bahrain in a fun and wholesome way. DreamBody Centre’s Healthier and Happier Initiative is constantly driven to motivate families towards a healthier lifestyle and celebrating the World Health Organisation’s ‘Move for Health’ is yet another way to achieve our objective.”

Move for Health refers to moderate to vigorous physical activity of any type that anyone can perform anywhere to improve health.

“The mall is very happy to be a part of an event promoting healthy families. We will definitely be supporting more events like this in the future,” added Ilse Viljoen, Bahrain Mall marketing manager.
