Eid Adel Meftah narrowly won the fourth round of the Audi quattro Cup qualifying series at the Royal Golf Club on countback after three competitors all achieved 33 Stableford points apiece.

Hamad Mubarak clinched the runners-up spot and last month’s winner, Rob Lane, took third place. Lane continues to lead the overall series Order of Merit with 138 points, five points clear of second-placed Robert Arnaud. Ronan Armstrong won the nearest the pin side contest on the 7th hole.

More than 70 competitors turned out for the tournament which was open to members and visitors with valid handicap certificates.

The Audi quattro Cup Series is being played out over a total of nine rounds at the Royal Golf Club, with participants accumulating Stableford points over the series. After the final round, the two players with the most Stableford points from eight out of nine rounds will be selected to represent Bahrain as one of the 60 teams competing in the world finals.
