CELEBRATED artist Alicia Quaini will be displaying some of her latest paintings during the gulfBID 2007 exhibition.
The Argentine-born artist, who is also a well-known musician, peace activist and poet, will also be meeting members of the Group Actions for Peace (GAP) Bahrain, said GAP member and RIA Centre principal Christine Hasan.
Ms Quaini, who is recipient of a UN award for her human rights work in Latin America, said she is “excited” about visiting Bahrain and being able to learn more about the culture.
Alicia is World Wide Special Representative for Friends of the United Nations and is one of the International Day of Peace Planners, worldwide, for the United Nations. She also works as UN Consultant for Friends of the UN.
