ROB Kennedy cruised to victory in the annual Sri Lankan Airlines Golf Day at Riffa Golf Club with an impressive score of 46 points, despite having 2 double bogeys during his round.
Abdulla Al Hajeri clinched second place with 43 points and Martin Fish came third with 39. Nearest the pin side contest prizes were awarded to Claire Cassidy (4th hole), club captain Peter Loubser (6th), club champion Sultan Abdulla (13th) and Dean Marren (16th).
The individual stableford competition was fully subscribed with over 80 golfers taking part. Kennedy’s prize was an all-expenses paid trip to Sri Lanka in October where he will take part in the annual Sri Lankan Airlines Golf Classic at the fabulous Victoria Golf Club in Kandy. Sri Lankan Airline’s Bahrain manager, Dammika Kulatunge was on hand after the tournament to present prizes to the winners.
