Seventeen contestants of different nationalities competed for the Indian Club May Queen 2007 title at the club’s premises in Manama.
The contest began with the Smart Casual round, moving on to the Ethnic round and the final round was Evening Wear. The event was choreographed by Shamima Noorani, while Brian Dias and Dilraj Abdulrahman shared hosting duties.
Reigning Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2007, Sarah Jane Dias, added an extra touch of glamour as the event’s chief guest. Guest of honour was Indian Embassy First Secretary A K Bhatnagar.
Leading local band the Aryan Fame performed and AI Daw Musicals provided lighting and sound equipment.
Prizes included airline tickets, electronic items, gift hampers and complimentary beauty packs. Natasha Thakur was crowned May Queen.
