Bahrain last week joined the world in marking the International Day Peace with a ceremony at the UN House, Hoora.
Among the dignitaries present was noted artist Abbas Al Mousawi who is spearheading a move to create a monument to peace.
The monument will be decorated with drawings by children and will be set up at the UN House.
AMA School of Basic Education students joined the first phase of Painting for Peace.
The children were given cubes, 40cmx40cm, to create their artwork.
The cubes will be then joined be collected and placed on the monument.
