It has been more than 40 years since the launch of the first generation of Toyota Corolla in 1966.
While inheriting the tradition that Corolla has built to date, the new Corolla sought to define a new values. The fundamental performance, safety, environment and reliability is unparalleled, says the company.
It is also marked by its "sensitivity performance," which involves the pursuit of the 'five-meter-impression' where all the senses are satisfied by within the first five metres driven.
In addition, the style and package of the vehicle have evolved to match a global size. The vehicle also incorporates top-class safety and reliability.
The new Corolla comes with a completely new engine capacity - a 1.8 litre engine that generates 130 HP.
It is equipped with 'super intelligent' four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission. In addition, Toyota Corolla 2008 has high standards of safety and the protection of passengers including an Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system.
The safety of passengers is further enhanced through a number of SRS air bags for the driver and front passenger in addition to side SRS air bags.
