FULL details of the new Salam Beach Resort and Spa project have been unveiled which His Majesty King Hamad believes will significantly bolster the tourism potential of Bahrain.
Sama Dubai is developing the project near the Bahrain International Circuit. The project includes a luxury hotel, seven villas and a large conference hall.
"The new luxury resort will spur the country's economy and attract more foreign investments," the King said as he received UAE company Sama Dubai's chairman Farhan Friduni at Safriya Palace.
His Majesty was briefed by Mr Friduni on the facilities, plans and engineering designs of the first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed next year. The second phase will include a residential complex and retail outlets to be part of a shopping complex.
The King thanked Mr Friduni and Sama board members for the project, which is another vital development for the kingdom.
"It opens a new chapter in Bahrain's tourism facilities for its unique designs and genuine Bahraini traditional architecture," His Majesty said.
Mr Fridouni said the project will enhance Bahrain's status as a tourism hub of the region.
