Our first magical make-over subject is Australian Alinta Hawkins, 25, from Juffair, who wanted to transform her black-haired look to a softer more feminine, brunette shade.
"Doing this make-over has been a really fun experience," said salon manager Cris Caminiti and it's been great to see the change from one look to something totally different.
"It took a few days to complete as I needed to first change Alinta's hair colour before ordering the hair extensions that I wanted to use in her hair.
"The first process took about three hours and consisted of my using L'Oreal Colour Remover in her hair which brought the colour down to a red/orange. I then repeated the process to get the colour down to a gold that I could then apply the new colour to. After that I applied an ash-brown glossing which brought the final colour to a lovely warm brown. With that done I was able to decide exactly what shade of extensions I needed to order, ready for the next step in the process."
In step two, Alinta came back a couple of days later to get the extensions added, which took about two and half hours.
Cris explained: "I used 16-inch 'Great Length Hair Extensions' in a medium brown colour with a little golden chestnut to add subtle highlights and give it a more natural look.
"The whole process took 125 pieces and has added some great volume."
The extensions are made out of natural Indian hair which is the softest you can find and ethically sourced from temples in India where women give up their hair when they reach the age of 21. The hair is bought from the temples and the proceeds go back into the community surrounding that particular temple. The hair is then sent to Italy where the gentlest and most hygienic methods are used to process and colour without damaging it.
The next step of the make-over was a St Tropez spray tan, which starts off with a body scrub to make sure the skin is smooth and fresh before the colour is sprayed on in a mist that varies in shade depending on how many layers are added - resulting in a great all round deep brown tan, without the harmful effects of the sun.
Alinta was then given 10mm eyelash extensions that are bonded on.
As a finishing touch to the make-over, Head 2 Toe make-up artist Nhell applied light evening make-up using Mac make-up ... and hey presto! Alinta has a great new look.
"I really love what Cris has done!" she said. "My hair is a great colour and it makes me feel really feminine.
"It's fuller and bouncier and not as fly-away as if was before. It's also easy to manage, which is great. With everything else that was done the end result is really glamorous. I love it!"
