Georges Abi Aad THE_Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Residence & Spa, part of the first-class brand of leading hospitality company The Rezidor Hotel Group, has appointed Georges Abi Aad as director of sales and marketing.

A Lebanese national, Georges Abi Aad is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He spent much of his career in locations including Dubai, UAE, Lebanon and Jeddah where he served in the same position for several renowned hotel groups such as Al Khaleej Group of Hotels, Accor and Crowne Plaza.

Ivor Prestwood

Ivor E Prestwood has been appointed as the new general manager of Crowne Plaza Bahrain. Originally from the UK, Ivor has more than 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, starting his career at Boodles Club in St James' in London as an apprentice chef.

He then joined IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) in 1974 and has gained experience all over the world including Switzerland, Germany, the Philippines, Vanuatu, Australia, China, Kuwait and most recently in Dubai.

Sarosh Aibara

Elite Hospitality has announced the promotion of Sarosh Aibara to the position of director of operations.

Mr Aibara, a gold medalist from the prestigious Oberoi School of Hotel Management, has 26 years of hospitality experience under his belt having spent his formative days with the Oberoi Group in Delhi and as resident manager of the Oberoi Mumbai. He later moved to Bangkok heading the President Park group and pioneering serviced apartments in the early 90s leading their rapid expansion in the far east.

Mr Aibara joined Elite Hospitality in Bahrain in 2004 and has guided the group's rise.
