St Chris girls snatch title in style

Arsenal Bahrain recently held its first Girls Tournament at its Isa Town base. The tournament was a 3v3 festival and six teams competed for the Arsenal Bahrain Ladies Cup.

The teams included four from the soccer school and they were joined by St Christopher's School and the Dragons from Modern Knowledge School.

All teams played each other and the top four competed in the semi-finals. Team Walcott played the Dragons and St Christopher's played Team Arshavin. Team Walcott progressed to the final with a 2-1 victory after gaining a last-second penalty which Dana Tarif calmly converted. In the other semi-final St Chris won 3-1.

In the final Team Walcott went 1-0 up early in the game with a goal from Noor Abdul Wahab before St Christopher's School fought back to take the title with a 4-1 victory.
