Wahooo! Water Park Bahrain has adjusted its timings for Ramadan. It is now open daily from 5pm to 11pm. These timings may be extended for large private parties.

Art Select in collaboration with the Courtyard Bahrain is organising an art event at Al Ghazal Ballroom, at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa, under the title 'Prayer, Peace and Pictures' on August 29 from 8.30pm till midnight and August 30 and 31 from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 11pm. Giving both masters and young contemporary artists a common platform has become Art Select's forte and this is no more evident than with this exhibition, which has been designed to engage the viewer with its sense of unity and peace. As the event is taking place during Ramadan, a percentage of the art sales will support institutions in need, with the money this year going to Alia Centre for Autism. The Centrepoint Desert Symphony will take place on the first day of Eid in September at the Indian School grounds, Isa Town. The fundraiser will feature a headline performance by Sri Lankan choreographer Chandana Wickramasinghe's Sri Lankan Dancers Guild, as well as award winning Indian pop music diva Usha Uthup, Tamil playback singer Mano, vocalist Anwar Sadath and finalists from the Asianet reality show Idea Star Singer Hisham Abdulwahab and Lekshmi Jayan.

The Batelco Melodic Meet will be held on September 24 at the Indian School grounds in Isa Town. Organised by the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) in association with the Kerala Arts and Cultural Association (KACA), the event will feature performances by vocalists Mohammad Aslam, Faride and Sindhu Menon, mimicry specialists Baiju Jose and Babu Jose and film star Monica from India. Tickets cost BD1 and can be doubled up for raffle tickets to win a Mitsubishi Lancer and 20 other prizes.

Pro-Vision Events Bahrain will hold the Ramadan Galleria 2010 exhibition at the Movenpick Hotel, Muharraq, on August 20. It will feature Bahraini fashion designers showcasing products such as jalabiyas, dresses, accessories, and desserts. The event will be held under the patronage of Dr Fatima bint Mohamed Al Bulooshi, Minister of Social Development.
