The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Theme Park has been awarded two international awards after competing against more than 275 other leisure facilities from around the world.
It has also been asked to share its experiences at the World Waterpark Association's 30th Anniversary Symposium Trade Show in San Antonio, Texas.
LPOD was judged outright winner in the 'Print Media' and 'Outdoor Billboard' advertising marketing categories in the 2010 Wave Review organised by the association.
"I am very pleased that our efforts have been recognised on a global stage," said Mohamed Ali, general manager of LPOD. "We have a great team here and I must thank them for their continuing efforts in pushing forward the boundaries of excellence."
Adam Page, the park's head of marketing and public relations, who organised the competition entries, has been asked by the organisers to speak at the conference as a marketing specialist and guest panelist. "It's an honour to win these two awards and to be asked to speak at this gathering of representatives from similar parks and leisure attractions," he said. "I think it shows that although Bahrain may be a small island it can make a big impact."
The trade show takes place on October 6-10. Mr Page will fly to the US to collect the awards on behalf of LPOD before inspiring delegates with his conference presentation.
