Bestselling author Tony Buzan, described as 'the man who changed the way the world thinks' is bringing his sell-out tour to Bahrain.

He will be presenting a seminar on improving thinking, creativity, productivity and effectiveness on November 29.

Bahrain Institute of Hospitality (BIHR Corporate Solutions) is hosting the event at Al Bander Hotel & Resort. The organisers say course attendees will learn how to work creatively, generate innovative new ideas, deliver dynamic and engaging presentations, improve organisation and planning, and enhance their training repertoires.

Mr Buzan's seminars have won glowing praise around the globe. For example, Anne Ewing, HSBC's head of learning and development, said: "He held the audience spellbound as he challenged, confronted and tested our collective assumptions about how adults learn. His complete mastery of his subject shone through. He is an extraordinary teacher and communicator."

When asked about Mr Buzan and the ThinkBuzan System, John Husbands, MD of the Institute of Management, was quoted as saying: "Tony didn't invent the brain. He did invent the instructions." Described as 'the next giant leap for mankind' by best-selling author Michael Gelb, Mr Buzan has helped millions to unlock their creativity, enhance their memory skills and expand their thought processes.

He invented 'Mind Maps' in the 1970s, which are now used by over 250 million people worldwide. He is a speaker and consultant for businesses and government organisations all over the world, including Walt Disney, Microsoft, Boeing, HSBC, IBM, and the BBC.

Mr Buzan has also worked with prominent figures and global media personalities, including five-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave, and the royal families of Bahrain and Liechtenstein.

In 2008, Mr Buzan received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Creativity Association. In 1994 Forbes magazine named him as one of the top five international speakers, along with Mikhail Gorbachev, Henry Kissinger and Margaret Thatcher, and reported that 'Buzan shows corporate executives how to hotwire their creative energies.'

He has authored or co-authored more than 100 books on the brain translated into 33 languages and published in more than 150 countries.

A BIHR Corporate Solutions official said: "Tony's seminar is an ideal opportunity for all executives, consultants, trainers and managers, as well as anyone working within the education sector, marketing and PR, learning and development and human resources. However, his mind-enhancing techniques can be applied to any situation, be it personal or business, so everyone can benefit from attending the workshops."
