Slimmer and fitter Noora Ali has taken a weight off her mind (and hips) at the same time as piling on a welcome amount of dinars by winning a 12-week 'body transformation' competition.

The 27-year-old Bahraini document controller is the latest success story to step out of the DreamBody Centre, a 23-minute fitness and weight loss facility.

Noora, is the winner of the centre's second competition, and was awarded a cheque for BD1,001 at a ceremony in Hamala.

"I can't believe I won - I'm so happy!" she said. "I've lost over 13 kg since joining, which makes me so happy. I feel much more energetic, and can now go up several flights of stairs without difficulty.

"I'm also less moody and much more calm and patient. This place has really helped change me for the better."

Suhail Algosaibi, founder of the DreamBody Centre, said Noora did a 'great job'. "We are all so proud of her," he said. "She showed determination in losing weight and making positive changes in her lifestyle."

The competition takes place three times a year and each one has a single winner receiving the big prize money.

At the end of the year, all participants will again be screened and an 'Ultimate Winner' will win the grand prize of Mr Algosaibi's Toyota Fortuner.

The third contest has now started and it will end in December. After that, the grand prize winner will be chosen in January 2011.
