Bahraini fashion house Anmar Couture will display its designs at the 10th edition of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi.
It is the UAE capital's most opulent, glamorous and sparkling bridal and fashion extravaganza and aims to showcase the very best in fashion design talent from around the GCC.
Proving that Arabian designers can stand alongside those from around the world, the event will also feature UAE designers Dar Maryam Al Shaibani and Al Mansouri Fashion, as well as Kuwaiti designer Awatif Al Hai.
Haute couture design houses which have cut their cloth in the UAE, such as Dar Sara and Arushi, will also display creations on the runway.
The runway of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is one of the most popular features of the four-day exhibition, which takes place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from today to Saturday.
"The Bride Show Abu Dhabi has become a must-attend date in any fashionista's calendar for the last 10 years because we bring together some of the best local and regional design talent," said Daphne Cota, exhibition manager for the extravaganza.
"This year we are really celebrating the creativity which exists in this region and while most of the designers are remaining tight-lipped about their new collections, some have shared sketches with us and the dresses are truly spectactular."
Other features of the event this year include the opening show by Lebanese celebrity fashion designer Tony Yaacoub, taking part for the first time and Trio Couture, an haute couture fashion house with designs from two UAE national designers and one Iraqi designer.
The winner of the Abaya Design Awards, sponsored by Persil Abaya Shampoo is also guaranteed to be a big crowd puller.
Ten amateur designers are competing against each other to win the coveted accolade.
