Scottish interiors products of every shape, colour and style will be showcased in the Northern Gulf for the first time in April at gulfINTERIORS Exhibition, adding to the increasing value that the interiors sector is giving to the exhibition.
Scottish Development International (SDI), a government joint venture which helps promote Scottish companies overseas, has confirmed that leading Scottish interiors brands will participate at gulfINTERIORS, to be held from April 26 to 28 at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) in Manama, Bahrain.
Scottish exhibitors at gulfINTERIORS will include Holland & Sherry, Sekers, China Ocean and Begg Scotland, in addition to leather specialists Andrew Muirhead & Son.
Organised by Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE), gulfINTERIORS is the Northern Gulf region's only dedicated exhibition for interiors, design and furniture. It enjoyed a highly successful debut in 2010.
SDI senior executive Fiona Maclachlan, said: "We are excited to be participating at gulfINTERIORS, as we feel this is the ideal show for us. Scottish textiles manufacturers have an unrivalled reputation for providing quality products for customers around the world.
"Stimulated by Scotland's rich heritage and culture, companies produce everything from cutting-edge design for interiors to cashmere, leather and luxury lifestyle products. Our aim is to be the first choice for buyers."
HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman, left, said: "We are delighted to welcome SDI to gulfINTERIORS for the first time. Showcasing high calibre Scottish textile brands will demonstrate that Scotland has much more to offer than the stereotypical tartan."
gulfINTERIORS, to be held in BIECC Hall 2, will again run concurrently with the sixth gulfBID Exhibition, which will be held in Hall 1.
