THE Whisperer joined the Friday afternoon jam with thousands of other frustrated motorists caught up in a crackdown on anyone travelling towards Budaiya, Janabiya or Saar.
The actions may well have been justified by the police but drivers and their families were left fuming and frustrated by the complete lack of communication. A friend tuned into Radio Bahrain during his three-and-a-half-hour ordeal whilst sat stationary on the highway with three hungry, thirsty and bored children, hoping for some sort of information or explanation to be broadcast. Not a word. Which leaves the question, what is the point of Radio Bahrain?
