Anil Nair clinched victory in the Pan Gulf International golf day at Awali Golf Club on Friday. Nair scored a superb net 60 (gross 80) and has had his handicap justifiably cut to 17!

The tournament was sponsored by Pan Gulf Industrial Systems, Remtec and Chemetron, and included approximately 120 players. There were some fantastic scores posted throughout the day and the top of the leader board was very crowded.

In the third flight, Jeffery Barret took top honours with a net 64. In second place, Nicola Bailey (net 65) shot her best round of the season and in third place, Jo Pawson finished with a solid net 70.

The second flight was dominated by Dave Bridger who, playing off a handicap of 19, shot a wonderful round of 62. Second place went to Clive Bailey (net 67) and third place went to Ian Jennings (net 68).

In the top flight, Sun KyuKwak scored a net 65 to beat Hamed Fares (net 67) and new committee member David Spittal (net 68). Former Bahrain Open champion Diab Sager won the medal for lowest gross score of the day with a solid round of 73.
