Film – The Conspirator at 9pm on OSN Cinema/OSN Movies HD

Seven men and one woman are arrested and charged with conspiring in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Mary Surrat, the lone female charged, owns a boarding house where John Wilkes Booth and the others planned the attack. Mary is forced to rely on her reluctant lawyer, Frederick Aiken, to uncover the truth and save her life. However, Aiken soon realises that she may be innocent and is being used as bait.

This animated comedy follows the adventures of the Griffin household. The family includes Peter, the obnoxious father, Lois, the loving mother, their son Chris, who is too often confused, their annoying daughter Meg, Brian a pessimistic talking dog and evil genius baby, Stewie. The Griffins’ neighbours include whiny, self-loathing Cleveland, paraplegic policeman Joe Swanson and the local pervert Glen Quagmire.

 

Film – 127 Hours at 8pm on OSN Premiere/OSN Movies HD

This true story follows Aron Ralston, a mountain climber, on his remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder traps him in an isolated canyon. He finds himself abandoned with no one around for help. With only a day’s worth of water and a blunt penknife he does everything he can to make it out alive. Over the next few days, he examines his life recalling friends, family and the two hikers he met before his accident.

 

Series – The Academy at 7pm on MBC Action

This reality show takes viewers behind the scenes of Class 355 as they enter the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Academy to train as policemen. The recruits go on a gruelling 18-week training programme as viewers get to witness their brutal struggles and accomplishments along the way. The trainees work long and hard to qualify as deputies. The series follows their progress up to the graduation for those who have survived the process.

 

Film – Chasing Liberty at 7pm on MBC MAX

An 18-year-old Anna Foster is the daughter of the president of the US. Being the most protected girl in America, she makes a deal with her father that only two agents are allowed to escort her to a concert in Prague. When he changes his mind, she manages to get away from security and meets Ben Calder, a charming young man. She doesn’t tell him who she is but more importantly, Ben has a secret of his own.

 

Film – The Notebook at 9pm on MBC 2

An old man reads from a faded notebook to a woman whom he regularly visits at her nursing home. Though her memory has faded, she gets caught in the love story of Allie and Noah, who come from different social backgrounds. The two fall deeply in love, but when the Second World War breaks out, they are separated. Years pass by and Noah returns home to an already engaged Allie who must now choose between them.

 

Series – Eastbound & Down at 10pm on OSN Comedy

Kenny Powers returns to his hometown to nurse his wounds after his insufferable personality ruined his promising professional baseball career. He reluctantly takes a job as a substitute gym teacher at his old school, where he tries to rekindle his love with his former high school sweetheart, April. Still trying to reclaim his fame, he starts working on a comeback but once again his personality gets the better of him and ends up messing everything up again.
