The Whisperer

In true Horrible Histories-style a St Christopher’s Junior School pupil wanted to dress up as an executioner at the next Tudor Day at the Saar site.

His parents eagerly scanned the internet for a suitable costume and found one readymade from an online store.

Thinking it would be less hassle that popping to the souk and getting one made up, they paid out a few dinars and waited for delivery.

However, the head chopper’s hood fell foul of the customs rules and the Aramex Shop and Ship Service informed the family that it had received a ‘prohibited package’ from the UK.

What to do? The family can return the package to the shipper for a charge of BD6, forward the package to an alternative address in the UK for a BD6 charge or authorise the company to discard the package.

One wonders if one of those youths roaming around Saar village at the dead of night every Thursday might have a spare mask. Just a thought?
