TALENTED teen Deanna Ngo, 14, became the Royal Golf Club’s youngest ever Lady Club Champion after winning the ladies gross section of the prestigious 2013 DHL Order of Merit Series.

Around 100 club members took part in each of the monthly competitions which saw Deanna clinch the ladies gross division an incredible eight times in nine months. The only competition she did not win was the July event, which took place when she was out of Bahrain.

The promising youngster, who boasts a handicap of five, will be leaving Bahrain in November to take up a place at the prestigious Singapore Sports School, where she expects to carry on competing in local and regional golf tournaments while also completing her secondary school education.

“Deanna is an extremely talented young golfer and we wish her all the best in Singapore,” said Bernie Morgan, the Royal Golf Club’s director of Golf Operations. “We look forward to seeing her back here at the club during the school holidays when she will return to her Bahrain-based parents, Darius and Valerie Ngo and brother Derrek, all of whom are keen golfers too.”
