Husband and wife Heinz and Tatyana Hurter narrowly clinched top spot in BMMI’s Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 23 points, leaving Steve Middleton and Chris Butler to settle for a close second place on 22 points.
Rajinder Sachdeva and Naeem Khan came third, putting the duo at the top of the overall leader board with just two more weeks of competitions left to play.
Around 40 players competed in the event despite the strong winds, which made scoring in the Vegas Stableford format competition difficult.
“Well done to Heinz and Tatyana,” said Cormac Flannery, the Royal Golf Club’s Golf Operations manager. “The wind made for tricky conditions and 23 points was a fantastic score.”
The prize presentation took place in the club’s Members’ Lounge where players enjoyed some complimentary product sampling courtesy of BMMI Shops.
The BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series is open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night for the 9-hole event and tees off every Monday evening with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
