Mubarak in fine form

Hamad Mubarak cruised to victory in the men’s gross division of the DHL May Order or Merit competition at the Royal Golf Club with a fantastic four under par score of 68.

Abdulla Al Hakam took the runners-up spot with a gross score of 75 and his son Sultan Al Hakam was a close third with gross 76.

Mubarak also clinched top place in the men’s nett division of the tournament with a score of 70 nett. Jason McNamara was second with 71 nett and Robert Addison won third place on countback with a nett score of 73.
Former lady captain Danielle Sheppard won first place in the ladies gross category with a score of 96 while Araceli Deakin won the nett section with a score of 79. Saud Al Sharif narrowly won the Junior category with a score of 73 nett.

More tha 75 golfers competed in the popular monthly members’ event. Prizes will be presented to the winners at the next members’ social evening scheduled on May 28.
