CFA Bahrain, an association for local investment professionals, is launching its third annual research challenge.
Over the coming months, 20 students from four of the kingdom’s leading universities – University of Bahrain, Ahlia University, Royal University for Women and New York Institute of Technology will compete to become the national champions at the final to be hosted on February 11, 2012.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an educational initiative in which leading industry professionals guide business and finance students in researching and reporting on a publicly-traded company.
Khalil Nooruddin, president of CFA Bahrain, said: “This is a national challenge that brings together top universities, their students and investment professionals in an exciting and competitive forum.
“Those taking part will get a practical insight to the work of a financial analyst to the very best international standards, incorporating the core principles of ethics and good corporate governance.”
