Mohammed Jalal & Sons welcomed officials from Maruti Suzuki to its showroom in Khamis in hopes of expanding relations with the sizzling small car manufacturer.

Maruti Suzuki’s executive director Shashank Srivastava was given a VIP tour of the showroom by Mohammed Jalal & Sons automotive division general manager Jamal Al Sayed, parts manager Ian Johnston, and financial controller Kabi Mazumder, placing special importance on where the popular Dzire and Celerio models are displayed.

Mr Srivastava said: “Currently we are providing Bahrain with the Dzire and Celerio cars. Hopefully in the near future, with the growing popularity of Suzuki, we will provide the region with even more shipments.

“We only recently launched the Dzire and the initial response has been great. Bahrain is moving in a positive direction and it is becoming a great market for Suzuki. We are examining what we can improve and what we can do to help.

“The Suzuki standard, quality consciousness and reliability is outstanding and people come to us because they know our name and that we will provide an excellent car with good service.”

Based in Gurgaon, Harayana, Maruti Suzuki is an Indian automobile manufacturer that is a subsidiary of Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Touted as a ‘full options’ hatchback, the Celerio comes with a CD stereo with MP3, dual front airbags, ABS, fog lamps, alloy wheels, keyless entry and power steering. Its lightness puts it among the most fuel-efficient cars in the GCC.

The Dzire is a sedan version of the popular Suzuki Swift hatchback with changes made to the car’s overall styling to seamlessly integrate the boot and improve rear seat comfort and legroom.

Mr Al Sayed said: “We thank the people at Maruti Suzuki for their visit and it proves our ties and relationship are very strong. We have been representing Suzuki Bahrain for the past 40 years.”
