Golf tip: Less is more

The rules of golf state that a golfer can carry no more than 14 clubs during a round.

Nowadays, players are spoilt for choice and can select additional clubs such as hybrids and specialist wedges to suit their game and the shots they need to execute on their home course.

Occasionally, I encourage my students to practice on the course with a half set or even less.

This is a great way to challenge your decision making, shot selection and visualisation. Also, playing with fewer clubs can give a golfer a fresh outlook on how they play their course, making the game more interesting.
