The Harley Owners Group (HOG) Bahrain Chapter and Harley-Davidson Bahrain are revving up to host the third HOG Bahrain Rally from November 10-12, with more than 5,000 bikers expected to ride into the kingdom for the occasion.
A press conference was held on Saturday to announce the event’s schedule. Participants will be required to register at the Harley-Davidson dealership on Budaiya Highway on November 10, after which they will receive a rally kit, followed by a dinner reception at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel.
The main event will happen on November 11 with a motorcycle carnival held at the Bahrain International Circuit’s vending area which will feature an array of attractions, including a display with the Harley-Davidson 2017 model range, custom bike shows, a children’s zone, exhibition boxing games, as well as an international rock concert.
The concert will feature the return of one of the biggest global guitar icons, Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (formerly lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses, currently playing with Art of Anarchy) and Dubai-based independent rock band, Point of View. The concert will also feature one of Bahrain’s top bands, Hot Laser, who will open the concert.
The carnival will be open to the general public, while the concert will require tickets on entry, starting at BD10 for general entrance and a BD20 package which includes concert entry, backstage access and a meet-and-greet session.
On the third and final day, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Harley-Davidson Bahrain dealership and view the latest models and accessories.
Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, director of the Bahrain Chapter, said: “We are really pleased with the growth HOG Bahrain Rally has achieved since its inception in 2013. We are working hard to ensure that all the bikers from the region and further abroad will have a great time with the fantastic activities lined up for them.”
The event is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts, including HOG members, non-members and other motorcycle owners, groups and clubs. Packages are priced at BD40 for HOG members, BD45 for non-members but Harley owners, and BD55 for other motorcycle owners.
