As part of the British Council’s Bahrain-UK 200 anniversary celebrations, it will present Bahraini-British musician Yazz Ahmed at the Bahrain International Music Festival on October 15. It will take place at the Cultural Hall from 8pm.
The IGN Convention Bahrain will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir on October 21-22. The special guests will be American actor and director Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his role of Gustavo ‘Gus’ Fring on the series Breaking Bad, and US wrestling icon and Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle.

Icons For All, a community project aimed at inspiring children to take up sport, will take place on October 21. Australian hockey legends Mark Knowles and Jamie Dwyer will be coming to Bahrain to host a series of workshops and clinics.
There will be a ‘Coach the Coaches’ session at the Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School in Zayed Town from 8.30am-10am costing BD10. There will then be a free junior clinic (eight to 15 years) from 10.30am-noon, followed by a senior clinic from 12.30pm-3pm which costs BD100 per team.
Finally, from 5pm-7pm there will be a parents workshop titled ‘Children Today, Champions Tomorrow’ at the S Hotel in Seef, which costs BD7.5 per head or BD10 for a couple.

A Sea Festival will be held from October 20-29 at Bahrain Bay to celebrate the kingdom’s rich link to the sea, tying it to several traditions and activities such as pearl diving and dhow making.
It will include a series of activities including an underwater photography exhibition, 3D virtual tour, simulator, interactive fish tank, live performances and a food and beverages area. The public will also have the opportunity to purchase Bahraini pearls from merchants.
It will be open daily from 5pm-11pm. Entrance is BD2.
The next edition of Trib Fest is taking place at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Janabiya on October 21.
