A special shopping experience awaits visitors at participating shopping malls in the third edition of the ‘Shop Bahrain’ festival.

During a 30-day celebration, numerous fun events and activities are being staged across the kingdom. City Centre Bahrain, for example, has several promotions in store and is offering prizes to win as well as activities and themed entertainment for all ages until February 18.

City Centre Bahrain will be hosting Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ‘GREEN & EXTREME’ with a host of shows and workshops including interactive games and competitions for children from next Wednesday until February 13.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tyre Race features tyres and barrels set up in two obstacle courses that will be navigated separately by assigned teams. And, a Balloon Power workshop will be set up where youngsters will be invited to make their favourite Ninja Turtle character balloons to take home.

Children will also get a chance to meet-and-greet Ninja Turtle mascots, with instant photo opportunities. Ninja Turtle shows will take place daily at 4.30pm, 6pm and 7.30pm. The Ninja Turtle workshop timings are 3.30pm, 5pm, 6.30pm and 8pm daily. 

City Centre Bahrain will also complement Shop Bahrain’s ‘Shop and Win’ promotion of weekly prizes to be won. Shoppers spending BD30 or more at the mall’s outlets, including Carrefour between today and February 14, have a chance to win instant prizes during a ‘Trick Box’ game, whereby participants will be asked to stare at a spot on a screen without being distracted by surprise animated characters and sounds.

Shoppers will also be entertained by roaming international performers, including street magicians and solo singers, staged at various locations throughout the mall, with four shows per day on this coming Friday and Saturday.

Even smaller community malls are getting in on the act. Young visitors to Saar Mall can enjoy Disney classics being screened in the ‘Kids Cinema’ today and tomorrow from 10am to 10pm. And, Lulu Hypermarket will be hosting a ‘Dinosaur Show’ from 7pm to 9pm in ali all toorrow in in on Friday and at Hidd on Saturday.

A Masha and Bear Show will take place with the same timings at the Riffa branch on ebruar  in in on February 10 and in Ramli Mall on February 11. Shop Bahrain will also allow shoppers the chance to walk away with gifts, including one of the 12 cars and more than 25,000 valuable prizes through weel raffle draws when shopping throughout the duration of the festival where they will get three points for every BD1 spent at participating hotels and malls.

The third edition of the Festival is co-organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Tamkeen.
