THE heroes embark on one final journey as season three of Vikings: Valhalla is set to release on Netflix on July 11.

The 2022 series serves as a sequel to the History channel’s original Vikings, which ran from 2013 to 2020.

Vikings: Valhalla was created by Jeb Stuart, who is known for writing the blockbuster movie ‘Die Hard’. He is also credited as an executive producer alongside Michael Hirst, creator and writer of the original historical drama.

The sequel takes place more than a century after the events of Vikings, as the tension between descendants of the Vikings and the native English rises, resulting in a bloody breaking point.

Season three, which will consist of eight episodes, is set to pick up seven years after season two, with Freydis Eriksson (Frida Gustavsson) being the leader of Jomsborg, and her brother Leif (Sam Corlett) along with Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) being champions of Constantinople. Despite their victories, bigger and greater challenges lie ahead for the heroes.
