Tony Meakin narrowly won the third annual Members’ Masters Championship with a score of 37 points. Todd Gillespie was runner-up and David Wales secured third place.
Each player in the 18-hole competition drew out the name of one of the professionals competing in the Masters Tournament prior to teeing off, then their stableford score was added to the professional’s converted stableford score from their second round at Augusta to give an aggregate score overall.
Meakin’s 37 points were added to his ‘partner’ Jason Day’s second day score of 34 points to give a total of 71.
Results: 1st Tony Meakin (37) + Jason Day (34) = 71 c/b, 2nd Todd Gillespie (32) + Thongchai Jaidee (39) = 71, 3rd David Wales (33) + Bubba Watson (37) = 70. Individual Winner: Tony Meakin (37).
