SHARJAH: If you’ve always thought your young Jason was a wee Picasso, well, Sharjah’s Sahara Centre is the place to tell the rest of the region so, and maybe even pocket some cash.
Children from five to 12 years old can showcase their artistic flair in an art exhibition and competition titled My Best Summer of my Life until August 31.
The event aims to nurture and inspire children to engage in creative and fruitful endeavours during the long summer break, and highlights Sharjah’s stature as the UAE’s cultural centre. “We hope to encourage and nurture the artistic skills of children, as well as inspire others by exhibiting these young artists’ masterpieces at the Sahara Centre,” said Rima Chammas, marketing manager of Sharjah’s leading family shopping and entertainment centre.
There will be six weekly winners – with cash prizes – that will be selected by Sahara Centre’s jury panel on 31 August. The deadlines for the weekly entries are August 1, 8, 15, and 22. For more details, call +971-6-5313666.
