A lecture on self-hygiene was held for students at Al Ruwad School, Hamala. School nurse Jamila Buallay showed to 52 students, aged four to 10, the proper way of brushing their teeth and washing their hair and body.
At the end of the interactive lecture, Ms Buallay handed out samples of cleaning kits.
Bahraini Abbas Abdulla Abdulnabi Sarhan was named Employer of the Year by the Riffa Golf Club. He was presented with a BD250 cash prize, a trophy and a certificate by director of golf, Phil Jones.
A tree-planting ceremony was organised by students to commemorate the opening of the new premises of Little Gems pre-school in Budaiya. They planted their own tree in the garden area and were presented with a plaque to mark the occasion. The youngsters were also given tree-shaped biscuits.
Ice-cream giant Baskin Robbins has opened its first ‘new design’ store in Riffa. The new design includes the first major logo change for Baskin Robbins in 25 years. The new outlet is the 13th in the kingdom.
