A reception was held by the Gulf Council for Foreign Relations to mark Europe Day at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The reception was attended by German Ambassador Ronald Hermann, Riyadh-based EU Ambassador to the GCC Bernard Savage and Foreign Ministry under-secretary for follow-up Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa. Europe Day, on May 9, marks the anniversary of the day in 1950 when the European Union was conceived.
