The pairing of Louise Robertson and Ed Daly narrowly won first place in the fourth match of the Energade Summer Series at Riffa Golf Club with a score of 32.75 on count back.
In second and third place respectively, also on 32.75, were the pairings of Clive Charlton and Robert Craquelin and husband and wife team Joe Gamble and Arantza Lataillade. Their placings were also determined by count back. Rob Lane received an additional prize for hitting the longest drive on the 12th hole and Mohamed Al Sayed came nearest to the pin on the 16th. For the fourth week running the match was fully subscribed with 56 competitors battling it out for prizes sponsored by Gulf Cellar and Energade. Daniel Thain, Gulf Cellar’s marketing and events manager and his team mate, DJ Krazy Kevin, were on hand to present the prizes in the club’s Braids restaurant after the match. The penultimate match in the series will be held this evening and will be held in the two player better ball stableford format, another pair’s event.
