Riffa Golf Club’s golf operations supervisor Steven Munro has enrolled for the PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) of Great Britain and Ireland’s foundation degree course.
He travelled to The Belfry, the world famous golf course in Birmingham which is also the UK headquarters of the PGA, to attend the admissions review programme in order to gain an insight into what the three-year degree will entail.
“Steven already holds a diploma in golf management but we recommended that he also take his PGA exams in order to develop his career further,” said Riffa Golf Club’s general manager, Michael Braidwood.
“He will also be in a position to offer advice and assistance to aspiring young Bahraini golfers.”
Mr Munro said: “I’m really looking forward to doing the course which I will mainly complete through distance learning.”
