Landmark tower deal signed

A BD500,000 ($1.3 million) piling contract has been signed for the construction of the 35-storey BFB Tower in Seef.

Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Investment Company awarded the contract to Keller Grundbau GmbH, a German company in Bahrain.

Company chairman Faisal Abdul Wahid Faqeeh signed the contract with Keller general manager Imtiaz Ahmed Syed.

The total cost of the project is around BD30 million. The piling work will start by mid-May. Mr Syed said: "We hope to complete our work by mid-July."

The tower will be located in Seef in close proximity to the upcoming City Centre development.

Bin Faqeeh Developers have incorporated the latest advanced concepts in international high-rise design with twisted shape and curves creating a unique identity for the project.

The base floor covers an area of 778 sq m dedicated for showrooms, and 28 floors are for offices. Each floor is a signatured office, with sizes ranging from 472 sq m to 564 sq m.

Mr Farooq said construction work is expected to be completed within 24 months.

The unique twisted structure of BFB Tower is designed by Andalus Engineering Consultancy.

The team of architects is headed by managing director Dr Jasim Hilal, who said that the dynamic structure characterised with a combination of glass and metal would create a landmark in Seef district.

The company has signed an agreement with Landmark Bahrain for sales and marketing the project.
