Al Salam Bank-Bahrain, one of the leading Islamic banks in the region, has opened its second branch in the Bahrain City Centre shopping mall as part of its strategy to extend its high-standard and unique services to clients and customers.
The first of its kind in the kingdom, the branch houses a business centre that is equipped with the most sophisticated and state-of-the-art computer appliances and systems that are not yet found in any other banks in the country, Nabeel Al Tattan, executive vice president and head of MENA, said.
"The aim is to offer our clients a one-of-a-kind experience and service," Mr Al Tattan said, adding, "providing such a service emanates from one of our core values of being differentiated by providing unique and full-solution services to clients."
The bank, meanwhile, unveiled a pioneering Shari'a-compliant investment in the field of hospitality; an investment in a residential and commercial tower near the Holy Mosque in Mecca.
Mr Al Tattan stated that GCC countries are heavily investing in the hospitality industry which witnessed a good performance over the past years.
He said that the bank was able to finalise a deal by which the bank has acquired leasehold interest in a residential and commercial tower for 19 Hijri years. The tower is strategically located near King Abdul-Aziz Gate, the closest to Holy Kaabah.
