TODAY'S World Cup 2011 qualifier between Bahrain and Australia has the Australian Business Group of Bahrain all fired up!

So much so, that they have invited Ben Buckley, CEO of the Australian Football Federation, as the keynote speaker at a business network luncheon at the Diplomat Radisson this lunchtime.

In keeping with the football theme, Mr Buckley will be discussing the 'progress of Australian football and the federation's future aspirations'.

With the Australian squad having been named earlier this month, and the excitement already brewing locally, the organisers believe the event is a winning networking opportunity particularly for the football aficionados in the business community. The match is going to be one of the sporting highlights of the year.

"It may be an opportunity to network businesswise, but we will all be very much focused on the game later on in the day and supporting the Socceroos", said ABG spokesman Marko Andjelkovic. Starting at 1pm, the lunch is supported by newcomer to Bahrain, BCS Bahrain, a branch of Australia's market leader in the Body Corporate/Strata Management industry and Bahrain's first strata management company.

The Australian Bahrain Business Group, holds a number of networking functions each year that aim to further develop Bahraini and Australian business relationships.
