Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) chairman of the board of directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, emphasised that Alba Labour Union is an example of partnership between the employees and top management.
The Alba chairman made his statement during his meeting with members of the Alba Labour Union board of directors in his office. He also congratulated them on winning the employees' trust in this fair competition, and discussed with them issues of mutual interest.
He said: "Alba boasts the biggest labour union in the kingdom, which was established under the guidance of His Majesty the King's reform project. Alba Union helped strengthen the communication between management and employees in compliance with their rights and responsibilities as per Bahrain labour law," he said.
He also emphasised that the former Union board of directors have also had valuable contributions in this regard. "The Union's new board members, who were chosen through free and transparent elections, will continue this role in taking on new responsibilities. Therefore, we, as Alba board of directors and executive management, will support them in their new task to serve the interest of all employees," he said.
"The chairman has always been supportive to His Majesty's reform project, and his valuable contributions are undoubtedly recognised," said Alba Union chairman Ali Al Binali.
