KEEN photographers can snap up some prizes by entering a competition as part of the Bahrain Animal Production Show 2010 (BAPS) celebrations.

Organisers of the show have teamed up with Yaquby Stores and The Camera Shop to offer competitors the chance to submit photographs of Bahrain's wildlife.

There are three categories for entry into the competition and all budding snappers or seasoned professionals are invited to submit their work in the appropriate category.

Entries will be judged and winners announced on the day of the opening ceremony by a panel of judges. The top 30 images, 10 from each category, will be featured in an exhibition at the show.

The three categories are students (up to the age of 15), adults and professionals. To enter your work in the competition you can either e-mail: maraeephotography@yahoo.com or post your work on CD/USB to: Miracle Publishing, 9th Floor, NBB Tower, Manama. Include your name, CPR number and state which category you wish to enter.

The closing date for submitting photographs will be November 18 and judging of the photographs will commence on November 20.

The Bahrain Animal Production Show 2010 (BAPS) Official Opening Ceremony will be held on November 24 for VIPs and the show will be opened at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in Sakhir, November 25 - 27 November, for visitors. Entrance will be free.
